Service: Self-Custody Blockchain DeFi Wallet
Website: defyld.com
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how DEFYLD (“DEFYLD”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) may collect, use, store, protect, disclose, and otherwise process information in connection with the DEFYLD self-custody blockchain wallet, website, applications, interfaces, and related services.
DEFYLD is designed around the principle that users should be able to maintain direct control over their digital assets and wallet credentials. Because blockchain networks are public and transactions may be permanently recorded on-chain, privacy in a blockchain environment differs from privacy in conventional financial or internet services.
We seek to apply principles of data minimization, security, transparency, and responsible information handling while maintaining the functionality, security, compliance, and integrity of the DEFYLD ecosystem.
2. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to information processed through DEFYLD websites, wallet interfaces, applications, support channels, communications, and optional services made available by or through DEFYLD.
Certain third-party blockchain networks, decentralized applications, exchanges, staking providers, infrastructure providers, analytics services, and other external services may operate under their own privacy policies and terms. DEFYLD is not responsible for privacy practices independently applied by such third parties.
3. Self-Custody and Personal Information
DEFYLD is designed as a self-custody wallet.
Where self-custody functionality is used, users generally maintain control of their wallet credentials, including private keys and recovery phrases. DEFYLD does not ordinarily require users to provide their complete private key or recovery phrase to create or operate a self-custody wallet.
Users are responsible for protecting their wallet credentials. DEFYLD support personnel will not ordinarily require a user to disclose a complete recovery phrase or private key.
If a user voluntarily discloses wallet credentials to another party, DEFYLD cannot guarantee the security of those credentials or assets controlled by them.
4. Information We May Collect
Depending on the services used, DEFYLD may process the following categories of information:
(a) Identity Information — Information such as name, date of birth, nationality, address, identification information, or other verification information where required for an applicable service.
(b) Account and Contact Information — Information such as email address, contact details, account identifiers, preferences, and service-related information.
(c) Transaction Information — Public blockchain addresses, transaction hashes, asset movements, timestamps, network information, staking activity, swap activity, and other blockchain-related information associated with use of the services.
(d) Device and Technical Information — Information such as device type, operating system, browser type, IP address, network information, security events, diagnostic information, and technical identifiers.
(e) Communications — Information contained in communications with DEFYLD, including customer support requests, compliance inquiries, feedback, and other service-related correspondence.
(f) Compliance Information — Where an optional service requires verification, DEFYLD may process information reasonably necessary to satisfy applicable legal, regulatory, fraud-prevention, sanctions-screening, or compliance obligations.
5. Information We Do Not Request
DEFYLD does not ordinarily request a user's complete recovery phrase or private key for ordinary wallet support.
Users should never provide a recovery phrase, private key, seed phrase, or other wallet credential to an individual claiming to be DEFYLD support unless an independently verified technical process expressly requires otherwise. DEFYLD will not be responsible for assets lost because credentials were voluntarily disclosed to third parties.
Users should treat recovery credentials as confidential and maintain them securely offline.
6. How We Use Information
DEFYLD may use information to:
(a) provide, maintain, and improve the services;
(b) facilitate wallet functionality and user support;
(c) maintain platform security and prevent unauthorized activity;
(d) detect and investigate fraud, abuse, manipulation, or security incidents;
(e) comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, and lawful governmental requests;
(f) conduct sanctions, AML, fraud, or other compliance screening where applicable;
(g) troubleshoot technical problems;
(h) communicate service announcements, security notices, and material policy changes;
(i) analyze service performance and reliability;
(j) protect the rights, property, and security of DEFYLD, users, and third parties; and
(k) perform other purposes disclosed at the time information is collected or otherwise permitted by applicable law.
7. Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing personal information, DEFYLD may rely on one or more of the following:
(a) performance of a contract or provision of requested services;
(b) compliance with legal or regulatory obligations;
(c) legitimate interests, including cybersecurity, fraud prevention, service improvement, and protection of users;
(d) consent, where consent is required; and
(e) other lawful grounds recognized by applicable law.
8. Blockchain and Public Data
Blockchain networks are generally decentralized and may be publicly accessible.
Transactions submitted to a blockchain may become permanently recorded on that network. Once confirmed, blockchain records may be technically difficult or impossible to alter, remove, or delete.
DEFYLD does not control the underlying blockchain networks and cannot guarantee that blockchain data can be removed or modified.
Users should understand that wallet addresses and transaction histories may be publicly visible and may potentially be analyzed or associated with other information.
9. Wallet Addresses and Pseudonymity
A blockchain wallet address is not necessarily the same as a person's legal identity. However, wallet addresses may be linked to an individual through transaction patterns, exchange records, public disclosures, analytics, or other information.
DEFYLD does not represent that blockchain transactions are anonymous.
Users should avoid placing unnecessary personal information into public blockchain transactions or transaction metadata.
10. Self-Custody and Privacy
Self-custody can reduce the need for users to entrust private keys to a centralized custodian. However, self-custody does not make blockchain activity private or anonymous.
Users remain responsible for understanding what information becomes public through blockchain transactions, connected decentralized applications, bridges, swaps, staking services, and other external protocols.
11. Cookies and Similar Technologies
DEFYLD may use cookies, local storage, session technologies, security technologies, or similar mechanisms to support website functionality, authentication, security, performance, and user preferences.
Where applicable, users may control certain cookie settings through their browser or available platform controls.
Disabling certain technologies may affect the availability or functionality of some services.
12. Analytics
DEFYLD may use technical analytics or diagnostic information to understand service performance, detect errors, improve usability, and maintain security.
Analytics information may include device, browser, network, performance, and interaction information.
Where reasonably practicable, DEFYLD seeks to minimize the collection of information that is not necessary for these purposes.
13. Information Sharing
DEFYLD does not sell personal information as a commercial data product.
Information may be disclosed where reasonably necessary to:
(a) service providers and infrastructure providers supporting DEFYLD operations;
(b) security, compliance, audit, legal, or professional advisers;
(c) blockchain, infrastructure, analytics, or technology providers;
(d) law enforcement, regulators, courts, or governmental authorities where legally required or permitted;
(e) protect DEFYLD, users, or third parties from fraud, abuse, security threats, or unlawful conduct; or
(f) support a corporate transaction such as a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, or sale of assets.
Third-party recipients may process information under their own legal and privacy obligations.
14. Regulatory and Legal Disclosures
DEFYLD may collect, preserve, and disclose information where necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, sanctions obligations, anti-money laundering requirements, fraud-prevention requirements, court orders, subpoenas, or other lawful processes.
The specific information collected and disclosed may vary depending on the service used and the user's jurisdiction.
15. Fraud and Security Investigations
DEFYLD may process information to investigate suspicious activity, unauthorized access, attempted attacks, fraud, abuse, malicious software, compromised accounts, or other security incidents.
Information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to investigate, resolve, prevent, or document such matters, subject to applicable law.
16. Third-Party Services
DEFYLD may integrate with or provide access to third-party services, including blockchain networks, decentralized applications, staking protocols, swap providers, bridges, analytics tools, infrastructure providers, and other external services.

Users should review the applicable privacy policies and terms of any third-party service before using it.
17. Data Security
DEFYLD seeks to maintain reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
Security measures may include encryption, access controls, authentication safeguards, monitoring, secure development practices, vulnerability management, logging, incident response, and other appropriate technical controls.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
18. User Security Responsibilities
Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their own devices, accounts, recovery phrases, private keys, passwords, authentication credentials, and other security information.
Users should:
(a) keep recovery phrases and private keys offline and confidential;
(b) avoid sharing wallet credentials;
(c) verify websites, applications, wallet addresses, and transaction details before signing;
(d) use appropriate device security;
(e) maintain updated software where appropriate; and
(f) promptly report suspected security incidents through verified DEFYLD channels.
19. Data Retention
DEFYLD retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing services, maintaining security, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, meeting legal obligations, and satisfying regulatory or recordkeeping requirements.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the service used, applicable law, and legitimate operational requirements.
Blockchain records are subject to the characteristics of the relevant blockchain network and may remain permanently available even after off-chain information is deleted.
20. Data Minimization
DEFYLD seeks to limit personal information collection to information reasonably necessary for legitimate operational, security, legal, compliance, or service purposes.
Where personal information is not necessary for a particular function, DEFYLD seeks to avoid collecting it.
21. Cross-Border Data Transfers

(c) request deletion where legally available;
(d) request restriction of certain processing;
(e) object to certain processing;
(f) withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
(g) receive or request portability of information where required by law.
These rights may be subject to lawful limitations, including security, fraud prevention, regulatory, legal, and recordkeeping requirements.
24. Access Requests
Users may request access to personal information held by DEFYLD through the designated privacy or support channels.
DEFYLD may require reasonable identity verification before responding to a request.
25. Correction Requests
Users may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
Certain blockchain information cannot be modified because it is recorded on decentralized networks outside DEFYLD's control.
26. Deletion Requests

27. Children's Privacy
DEFYLD services are not intended for children who are below the minimum age required to lawfully use the applicable service in their jurisdiction.
DEFYLD does not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.
28. Marketing Communications
Where DEFYLD sends optional marketing or promotional communications, users may be provided with an opportunity to unsubscribe or manage communication preferences.
Service, security, legal, and transactional communications may continue where necessary to operate the service or protect users.
29. Data Breaches and Security Incidents
If DEFYLD becomes aware of a security incident involving personal information, DEFYLD may investigate the incident, take reasonable containment and remediation measures, and provide notifications where required by applicable law.
30. Corporate Transactions
If DEFYLD or substantially all of its assets are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, reorganization, or similar transaction, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law and appropriate confidentiality protections.
31. Data Processors
DEFYLD may use third-party processors to provide hosting, infrastructure, analytics, security, communications, compliance, customer support, or other operational services.
Where appropriate, DEFYLD seeks to require such providers to process information only for authorized purposes and to maintain reasonable security and confidentiality protections.
32. Privacy of Wallet Credentials
Wallet credentials such as recovery phrases and private keys are highly sensitive.
Users should never provide these credentials to DEFYLD support, third parties, websites, applications, or individuals unless the user independently verifies the legitimacy and necessity of the request.
DEFYLD will not be responsible for loss resulting from the user's disclosure, loss, theft, or compromise of wallet credentials.
33. Blockchain Analytics

DEFYLD may respond to valid legal requests from courts, regulators, law enforcement agencies, or other competent authorities.
Where legally permitted, DEFYLD may evaluate the scope and validity of requests and seek to limit disclosures to information reasonably required by law.
39. Policy Updates
DEFYLD may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in services, technology, law, regulation, security practices, or business operations.
The version displayed through official DEFYLD channels will constitute the applicable version for future use of the services, subject to applicable law.
40. Contacting DEFYLD
Privacy-related questions, requests, or concerns may be submitted through the official DEFYLD communication channels made available through defyld.com.
Users should independently verify that any communication claiming to originate from DEFYLD comes from an official channel.
41. Complaints
Users may submit privacy complaints through the designated DEFYLD support or privacy channels.
Where applicable law provides access to a supervisory authority, regulator, ombudsman, or other competent body, users may also have the right to contact that authority.
42. Regional Privacy Requirements

Applicable privacy requirements may include local data-protection laws, consumer-protection laws, financial regulations, digital-asset regulations, and other mandatory legal requirements.
Nothing in this Policy limits rights that cannot lawfully be waived under applicable law.
43. Relationship with Terms of Service
This Privacy Policy should be read together with the DEFYLD Terms of Service and other applicable legal notices.
If there is a conflict between this Policy and mandatory privacy law, the mandatory legal requirement will prevail.
44. Governing Law
The legal treatment of personal information may depend on the jurisdiction applicable to the user, the service, and DEFYLD's legal structure.
Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to remove or restrict mandatory privacy protections that apply to a user under applicable law.
45. Privacy by Design
DEFYLD seeks to incorporate privacy and data minimization considerations into the design and operation of its services.
This may include minimizing unnecessary personal data collection, limiting access, applying security controls, and considering the privacy implications of blockchain-based functionality.
46. No Guarantee of Absolute Security
Although DEFYLD seeks to maintain reasonable security safeguards, no digital service, network, device, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users acknowledge the inherent risks of internet-based services and blockchain technology.
47. Effective Version
This Privacy Policy is identified as Version 5.9.
